What should Santa drive on Christmas Eve?

What should Santa drive?  He needs something to replace the sleigh, because all the reindeer have called in sick with the  H1N1 flu. Santa has an important job to do, so he called me for advice on what replacement vehicle he should buy or rent to deliver toys to children everywhere, plus those adults, too, who still believe.

I recommended these vehicles to Santa:

Fast, because he needs to cover a lot of territory in a short time. I suggested the 2010 Nissan 370Z, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a special 350 horsepower edition that has a fancy red leather interior, to match his wardrobe.

Roomy, with plenty of space in the back for al those toys, and lots of leg room in front, too, because Santa isn’t as slim as he used to be, thanks to all those cookies grateful children have been leaving by the chimney for decades. I suggested the 2010 Kia Soul, which has a surprising amount of cargo space for its size.

Smooth, because it will be a long night. I suggested the 2010 Mercedes-Benz S400 hybrid sedan, a full-size luxury sedan which switches seamlessly between electric and gas modes, and provides a comfortable, bump-free ride in either mode.

All-wheel drive, because there’s lots of tricky terrain on his late-night route, including all those snowy and sloping roofs he has to land on. I suggested the award-winning 2010 Audi Q7 SUV with the brand’s legendary Quattro AWD system.

Oh, Santa, there are so many wonderful and reliable 2010 cars.  My list is not complete yet.  The rest of the list is on What Would Santa Drive, Part Two

So what do you think?  What should Santa drive?
