Each year, with the help of many volunteers, the Scituate Chamber of Commerce presents Scituate Heritage Days. The annual event combines live music and entertainment, artisan crafts, kid’s activities and historical site visits for one of the South Shore’s biggest and most anticipated outdoor events of the summer.

Kevin White, lead singer of the popular country band, Walkin the Line will be doing his solo acoustic show in Hudson on Friday night, August 1, 2014 at the Ninety Nine Restaurant and Pub, 255 Washington Street. Boston Monkey Gig, a J. Geil's Tribute Band will be performing at Sally O'Brien's, 355 Somerville Ave in Somerville on Friday night, August 1, 2014. The band is: Jeff M, Bob West, Andy K, Dan Gage, Stan Shields and Chris Nemitz. They will be opening for the coolest band around; Tsunami of Sound. Surf's up!

On Friday at the Hotel Indigo at the BOKX 109, 399 Grove Street in Newton has Brian Maes with a four piece band. It's a great spot with a roof top swimming pool, great atmosphere and food. More info: http://brianmaes.com

The Skybox Restaurant and Sports Bar, 553 Main Street in Tewksbury has the Big Bang Theory on Friday night. The band is: Dave Heafey on bass, Dave Barber on lead/rhythm guitar, Steve Banville on lead/rhythm guitar, Bob Martin on drums and Rich "Hokey" McMahon on keyboards. This band will have you dancing to the classic rock tunes that they play!

On Saturday, August 2, 2014 it's the Onset Blues Festival, Prospect Park, 191 Onset Ave in Onset Village. This is a twenty two year tradition, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and going till 9:00 p.m. This years line up includes Johnny Barnes and the Nightcrawlers, The Fat City Band, Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish, Rosemary's Baby Blues and Lil Ed and the Blue Imperials. This festival is the longest running blues festival in New England and over looks one of the most picturesque harbors. Club Passim, 47 Palmer Street, Cambridge, has John Fannon from the band New England on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Fannon returns to Club Passim with his multi-instrumental one man show. Special guest Krista Baroni who won Limelight Magazine's 2013 Singer/Songwriter of the year will be opening for Fannon. Country band, Dalton and the Sheriff's will be playing on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Xfinity Center, 885 S. Main Street, Mansfield for the WKLB Parking Lot Party! The band is known for live, distinctive takes of hit country songs, as well as for their Boston-centric songs, as recorded on their debut record, “East of Broadway."The Dalton and the Sheriffs two-show, packed-house CD release party at the House of Blues in July of 2013 featured surprise performances by Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, and Kip Moore.
