With summer fast approaching us, and the scent of BBQ's and sunblock permeating the air, it's time to start scheduling your summer activities and check out some of the fantastic Festival's that the Denver area has to offer.
From Memorial Day to Labor day, Denver offers an array of Festivals whether it be for food, music, arts or culture.
The Capitol Hill People's Fair runs from June 5th to June 6th and is a celebration of the diverse community surrounding Denver. Arts, Crafts, and Entertainment help to raise funds and awareness for the many non-profit organizations in the Denver area.
The Denver International BuskerFest is in early June and runs for three days. Larimer Square is filled with sword swallowers, jugglers, clowns, magicians, tight rope walkers, singers and dancers to amuse and perform for your entertainment. Bring your dollars because this Festival is done 'Busker-Style' with a hat passed around after the performance.
July 3rd, 4th and 5th, Cherry Creek hosts the annual Cherry Creek Arts Festival that helps gain exposure and promote education to visual, culinary and performing arts.
The Mile High Music Festival is scheduled this year for August 14th and 15th. This festival is a host to many National musicians. This years lineup includes Jack Johnson, The Steve Miller Band, Cypress Hill, Rusted Root, Keller Williams and the Dave Mathews Band plus many, MANY more!!!
August 25th is my personal favorite, The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. This festival is a day filled with brutal metal music and scorching heat. This years lineup is Korn, Rob Zombie, Lamb Of God and Five Finger Death Punch on the main stage.
As the summer winds down, on September 3rd-6th, A Taste Of Colorado will feed your longing to hold on to summer, with food, music of all genres, from Jazz to Rock N' Roll and three days filled with arts and crafts.
