First off, a performance of Tweedy's new song “High as Hello” off their upcoming album Sukierae (out on dBpm Records on Sept. 23) - the solo side project Wilco front man Jeff Tweedy - was posted today to NPR Music. It was recorded at the Newport Folk Festival a couple weeks ago, with the band augmented by Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig from Lucius, at Fort Adams State Park in the tunnels under the fort.

The entire Newport show is also available for streaming on NPR Music.

In September, Wilco will play their first show of 2014 at LC Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio on the 3rd. The next evening, the Chicago band will perform at Akron Civic Theatre in Akron, then put in two shows at the Lockn’ Festival in Arrington, Virginia on September 6th and 7th. Check out their official website (wilcoworld.net) for ticketing info.

Tweedy will then return to touring with his side project with his son Spencer on drums, guitarist Jim Elkington, bassist Darin Gray, and keyboard player Liam Cunningham, for a string of dates from fall into winter, starting at the Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA on September 19th.

Again, check out Wilco’s official website (wilcoworld.net) for ticketing info.

Tweedy's fellow Wilco band mates, John Stirratt and Pat Pansone, are playing a gig with their side project The Autumn Defense on Saturday August 9th, at the Mile of Music Festival, Appleton, WI. Click here for ticket info. If you haven't heard The Autumn Defense's new album, Fifth, which was released earlier this year, do yourself a favor and get on that.
