Wondering what's open and what's closed on Martin Luther King Day 2014?

Many people are searching the Web to find out if Walmart is open, if banks are closed, if there will be mail delivery and if the stock market is open on the federal holiday that is celebrated on Monday, January 20.

If you are a federal employee, you probably have the day off or you are getting double time pay on Monday. See the 2014 federal holiday calendar to find out when your next day off is.

Post Office: MLK Day is a federal holiday and that means there is no mail delivery. All post offices will be closed on Monday, so you will have to wait until Tuesday to mail your package or letter.

Banks: Most banks are closed with a few exceptions. Citizens Bank will open their grocery store branches on Monday. All TD Bank branches are all open regular business hours.

Stock Market & Federal Offices: The stock market is closed and federal offices and state offices, like the DMV, will be closed for the day.

Schools and Libraries are closed for the day.

What about retails stores and malls? Walmart and Target will be open for business as usual on Monday. Most malls, grocery stores and restaurants are open regular business hours. Some businesses may be open for special holiday hours, so it's always best to call ahead.
