Wondering if grocery stores, Walmart, Target and restaurants are open on Easter Sunday? If you are waiting until the last minute to shop or are trying to find a restaurant that's open for Easter dinner, here's a list of what's open and what's closed on April 20, 2014.

Not only are many grocery stores and drug stores open on April 20, 2014, Walmart and Target are also open if you need Easter basket candy, a spiral ham or white eggs to color. Although most stores will be open, Publix announced on their website that all stores will be closed to allow their staff "time to spend with their families."

Peeps, jelly beans, big chocolate bunnies, baskets, stuffed toys and groceries for the big Easter feast are the most popular items on the lists of last minute shoppers this weekend. For those who don't want to cook, some restaurants will be open, serving everything from ham to cheeseburgers.

Easter is not a federal holiday, but because it is celebrated on a Sunday, the post office and government offices are closed. Most schools are on vacation this week.

Here's a list of what's open on Easter Sunday.

Walmart: Most items can be purchased at Super Walmart stores across the nation, with some stores open 24 hours on Sunday. Groceries, toys, candy and even flowers are available at most locations. Regular Walmart stores are open normal business hours.

Target: The popular retailer will not open for business on Sunday, just like last year.

Grocery Stores: Most supermarkets will be open on Sunday. Many are observing holiday hours. Stop & Shop, Albertsons, Kroger and Shaw's will be open. Publix stores will be closed.

Drug Stores: CVS, Walgreens and Rite-Aid will all be open on Sunday, April 20, 2014.

Going out to eat on Easter? Many restaurants will be open on Sunday, some with limited hours. Popular restaurants like Golden Corral and Cracker Barrel will be open. Some fast food chains, like McDonald's and Wendy's may be closed depending on location. Before you head out, call ahead to determine where you can grab a bite to eat on Sunday.
