It's no secret that San Diego is all about the outdoors. And it's no wonder. Most days are in the 60's to 70's so it's always comfortable. Why would anyone want to stay indoors when the weather is always great and there's always something going on.

For example, this weekend there's plenty of fun stuff happening. Here's a sneak peek.

Mission Hills Garden Walk will be held on Saturday, May 10th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you've never checked out this event, it's a must see. The popular event is a 2.5 mile walk that starts at the Mission Hills Nursery and follows a leisurely path through Mission Hills. This year, 11 gardens will be featured and there will be plenty of artists painting and musicians performing throughout the route. The event always fills up quickly so don't miss out!

San Diego Surf Film Festival kicked off this week and runs through Saturday, May 10th at Bird Surf's Shed, 1091 West Morena Boulevard. The festival will highlight over 25 international films, dozens of filmmakers and producers in attendance, Q&As, filmmaker panel and workshops, an amazing surf art gallery, surf legends and shaping demos, beach cleanups and live music.

Waterfront Park Grand Opening Celebration is finally here! After much anticipation, the region's largest and free waterfront park in San Diego County is celebrating its opening in a big way. On Saturday, Downtown San Diego will have everything from a a classic car show, a food truck pavilion and a farmers market. Festivities will run from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. Perfect activity for the family!

Gallery of Illusions and Perceptions opens this weekend at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park. If you're into magic, you won't want to miss this new, mind-bending exhibit. ILLUSION: Nothing Is As It Seems, was created by Science Gallery at Trinity College Dublin. The exhibit playfully combines techniques used by magicians and explored by neuroscientists to uncover the many ways our minds are fooled by sensory deception.
