WDW Splitsville Dine and Bowl
When’s the last time you went to your local bowling alley because of the food? Disney has teamed up with Splitsville a luxury lanes and dinner lounge. WDW Resorts welcomed the luxury bowling alley to Downtown Disney’s West Side, next to the theaters, Wolfgang Puck’s and Bongos.
This is an intriguing two-story bowling center that has a large bar and seating area out in the front and dining areas inside, near another bar and of course while you are bowling. Reservations are recommended for those who wish to dine and bowl, however you can go to Splitsville just to dine, see their Orlando menu here.
This is not your typical bowling alley where all the lanes are next to each other in a row. This place has three to four lanes and then separates a mix of cozy tables for a total of 30 lanes. On the first level there’s actually a sushi bar between two sets of lanes. People gather to watch bowlers and can order fresh sushi, hand rolled ninja crunch with fried salmon, crab, tempura crunch and spicy mayo. Of course there are your typical kids’ foods like: burgers, mac n’ cheese and chocolate milk. Or if you’re the adventurous type you could order 3-pepper calamari appetizers, which is calamari sauteed with cherry, jalapeno and banana peppers. They also have a variety of pizzas, sandwiches, burger, salads and entrees like Mahi Mahi with voodoo shrimp.
All in all, Splitsville seems to be holding its own as the new restaurant/attraction at Downtown Disney as it seems to have something for everyone, including those who just want to hang out and watch a game, play some pool or people watch. Splitsville bowl and dinner lounges are located in Fairview, TX; Fredericksburg, VA; South Miami and Tampa, FL.
