What's coming in 2014, part one: Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at the Magic Kingdom

New Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom is almost complete, with just one more jewel to complete its crowd: the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. This new family roller coaster is set to open in 2014. There's no set opening date yet, but if you've been to the park recently, you know that construction is in its final phases.

Click the video accompanying this article to hear from Imagineers Ben VanBeusekon and Mary MacEachin as they talk about the rides most special element: it's one of a kind cars. They'll be able to sway on the track, offering up an experience unlike any other currently existing ride.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will bring Snow White back to the Magic Kingdom after she was evicted when Snow White's Scary Adventure made way for Princess Fairytale Hall. Now kids can meet the princesses in that new area, and they'll soon be able to journey through the gemstones in the mine.

Once the opening date is announced, be alert for soft openings. New Fantasyland randomly opened to guests in the days before its grand opening ceremony, and it's like the same will happen with the new roller coaster. You could be among the first to hop aboard and see what it's like to sway on the track firsthand.
