A few wives and a ton of kids-is the premise of spreading the faith that both Mormons and Muslims commonly share. I have examined the relationship between Mitt Romney’s faith Mormonism and Muslims. The case for this examination is not solely based on the hypothetical situation of one man to many women but rather a conjecture stemmed from examining the relationship of the two religions.
With five sons and a longtime member of the Church Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or better known as the Mormon Church, Mitt Romney brings an unavoidable question to the table if he were nominated as the next president.
To date, every President the United States has ever have has been faith based. The way they display their faith is based on their personal convictions and relationship with God and others. The decisions they make are normally grounded in their faith. Does God allow free choice? Yes. But does He allow homosexuals in heaven? No. These questions and answers take each President on a journey of making decisions that change the structure and influence of the United States of America. To emphasize this point Americans highly regard a person’s faith, if not so, President Obama would not have been so scrutinized, demoralized, and scuffed at by both politicians, and political Christians who are more gun hoe to their political affiliation then Jesus. The fear of having a President that is not Christian, say Muslim, suggest a set of ideas and theology that doesn't fit the American lifestyle will bring a bondage that is intolerable.
Case and point: President Obama and First Lady Michelle believe in a healthy lifestyle that consists of shopping on a budget, and exercising. In response to their beliefs they have both instituted programs that focus on obesity in the schools and out of the school; more exercising and healthy foods while showing support for shopping for clothes at the local cloths mart. Many Christian republicans and some democratic presume the president to be Muslim. In response to this assumption, they ill treat him and his family instead of holding him up in prayer and showing him the love of Christ. This treatment is based not on his character but his assumed religious affiliation. Why such harsh treatment? Because if a Muslim ever becomes the President of the United States that person will inject their own religious beliefs on the people.
Mormons
According to Jessica Longaker writer of the article on exmormon.org titled, "The Role of Woman in Mormonism" Mormons carry a belief that multiple wives are a justifiable act and privilege to build strong families and populate the earth. Consequently, not all Mormons practice polygamy but it doesn’t mean they don’t believe it (it’s better to have one good wife over many bad ones). In contrast, Islam Muslims and a growing number in the United States would like to sow their seeds in more than just one wife.
Same-Sex Marriage
Six states in the United States recognize same-sex marriages giving them state-level benefits. If something as diabolical as marrying the same sex has become recognized in a few states, how hard would it be to pass a bill in the oval office that would grant multiple marriages with a Mormon President? And if he didn’t pass the bill, wouldn’t it be ‘against his religion?’
Tying It Altogether
Muslims have a method and a proven tactic to taking over: Multiply, train, and divide. The Muslim faith believes so strongly in polygamy that even upon a martyred death you are given up to 72 female virgins (some receive more and others less); while on earth, Muslims in Islam are allowed to have up to four wives (Sharia Law permits this wherever Sharia Law is permitted). Muslims in the United States continue to press the acceptance of Sharia Law even taking their argument to the Supreme Court. They feel it is unconstitutional as it doesn’t allow them to freely practice their faith. In the Muslim faith there is no limit (multiply) to the number of kids you have because each of them are born and trained to spread the faith around the world (divide).
Question: If Mitt Romney became president, and a bill came across his desk to allow each state to decide if polygamy should be tolerable, what would Mitt do?
