A woman often has recurring dreams about food. In the dreams, she is around plenty of good food, but she never get to eat in the dream. While others are eating and being full, the dreamer is always left with nothing to eat.
These are excerpts from this woman's recurring dreams about food:
- For example, in one dream she arrived and saw a table lined with food; however, when she took her seat at the table, all the food was gone. The others had eaten all of the food even though it was a lot of food.
- In another dream, the dreamer took time to fill a plate with delicious food only to have someone come up and take it from her.
- In another dream, she was at the table with many others, and she was the only one without a place setting.
- In yet another dream, she is fixing a hefty plate of food, but she is interrupted and never gets to eat.
In all her dreams about food, others are eating but not her.
Food is a symbol of emotional or spiritual nourishment. Being hungry in a dream means there is something missing in the dreamer's life and he or she is 'hungry" for that thing that is missing. Since plenty of food is always available in the dream, what's missing in the dreamer's waking life is available and plentiful. She just doesn't know how to get it.
The dream is telling the dreamer to take inventory and find out what's missing that causes him or her to not live a satisfactory live. It seems as though others are eating from the fat of the land while this person is starving for love, affection and attention.
There is something missing in the dreamer's life that is preventing her from being satiated. It is also significant that in the dream lots of other people are always around who are eating and celebrating. This indicates that the dreamer feels left out even during celebrations.
