What is the truth about the self?
It is this. The self seeks to know itself through its thoughts and experiences. This knowledge called self-knowledge only arises when a very real connection is established.
What is this connection?
It is the inward focus that we must assume in order to contact the self and subsequently be in harmony with the self. Self-harmony flows from within to without and there in the center of these flows going back and forth is the I AM the indivisible source from which all self-determination comes from.
What is self-determination?
Again it is our choice to focus within and to know that everything begins here. There is no other. All outward appearances are symbols of what we have envisioned within. Because of this the reality of outward appearance entices with its allure, its glamour but in terms of our identification with this glamour we can only by definition see the surface experiences and not the underlying causes. The way in which we may find out and experience these underlying causes is to “move thought” in a conscious manner.
This movement of thought is the first step in awakening our connection with the self and a critical realization in allowing the I AM to work freely through us as opposed to being blocked by the glamour of outward appearance.
What moves in thought? It is the seeker after its own mate. What is this mate? It can be compared to a laying of tracks from one destination to another. As each track is linked together the connection grows stronger between here and there until finally the last leg is complete and now thought passes freely between what we know and the revelation of what we are about to know. This is how thought moves by reflection and by forming a harmony with other thoughts along that railway of communication known collectively as the self.
Keeping with the railway analogy let us say that as thought moves it reveals various destinations along the way. Call them inspirations or quantum leaps of understanding.
The main purpose of these leaps is as the propelling force of thought. You see thought that is not inspired simply decays into lower forms of thought that are then attracted to outward appearances and you are in effect taken off the tracks. As we all know this kind of experience is disconcerting. Therefore the admonition is to seek inspiration whenever and wherever you may find it concentrating on that which you discover within as your greatest motive force.
Remember that this movement is between what you know and what you are about to discover. Don’t be concerned that you don’t have the slightest idea about what it is you are searching for; just know that you are seeking the truth about the self in all of its ramifications. Your journey then has many destinations and your own personal conductor will guide you through these destinations, the I AM.
Move with the flow as you become that which you are seeking, B"H.
