In November, "Hunger Games" fans will once again have the opportunity to watch her light up the screen when "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is released in theaters. The movie is the second film adaptation of the popular book series of the same name. Although Lawrence earned only a paltry $500,000 for her role in the first film, according to reports, she will be bringing in a $10 million paycheck for her role in the sequel. It is already a foregone conclusion that Lawrence will also be starring in the film adaptation of "Mockingjay." Although the book series comprises only three novels, there are reports that Lionsgate has plans to split the final book of the series into two separate films.
It has also recently been announced that Lawrence is scheduled to appear in a yet-untitled project with Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale, and Amy Adams. The film will focus on an FBI sting operation set in the 1970s known as Abscam. In the sting, the FBI utilized a well-known con artist to pose as a businessman from the Middle East. Although the film is not expected to exactly replicate the events of the real sting, Christian Bale is slated to play the role of a con man working with a federal agent who has gone rogue. Lawrence will fill the role of Bale's wife, while Amy Adams is set to play his girlfriend.
While Lawrence and Cooper will both appear in the film, it will not be their first reunion since "Silver Linings Playbook." The duo also starred together in "Serena," a film based on a novel by Ron Rash. The Depression-era film is set to be released in the fall of 2013 and centers on a couple whose plans for the future become complicated when Lawrence's character learns she cannot bear her husband's children.
In addition, Lawrence has also accepted a role in the film "The Ends of the Earth." This project will be her third collaboration with David O. Russell. The duo first teamed up for "Silver Linings Playbook." The film has been described as a love story based on the life of a successful oil tycoon who faces the loss of everything he has worked to build when he's caught having an affair. Specific details have not been revealed regarding a release date for the film, but there is speculation that this film will not go into production until the Abscam film has been completed.
It certainly appears that Lawrence will be keeping busy over the next few months. Lawrence will play the role of Walls in the film, which follows the life of and career of her character, a well-known gossip columnist, beginning with the somewhat nomadic life she led with her family as a child. When the memoir was first released, it spent several weeks on the Best Sellers list, indicating that when the film is released it may also do quite well at the box office. During the next year, Lawrence will also reprise another role for which she has become well known-that of Mystique in the film "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
As for her personal life, Lawrence has made a few changes. During the early years of her career, Lawrence made her home in New York City, but has since moved to Santa Monica. Earlier this year, she also ended a relationship with Nicholas Hoult.
Whether or not Lawrence has the talent to achieve future Academy Awards remains to be seen, but judging from her performances to date, she very well could have quite the career.
