The new year is coming up in a couple of days and I am sure a few of you are wondering about what will be trending in the beer world in 2014. According to the experts there are a few things that are predicted to happen.

  • The first thing that should happen is sour beers are going to start to get big. When someone says sour beer they do not mean a beer that is going to make your lips pucker; however, the beer will probably contain a ratio of fruits to give it the desired taste. If your hesitant to try this beer, but you like sourdough bread then it is something that you should try.
  • The second thing that you are going to see in the beer world is probably a crime in some parts of the world. You are going to see the world of wine and beer combine. This concept is not new though as Dogfish head as all ready started to dive into this world. They combined a white wine with a pilsner to come up with their beer Dogfish Head Noble Rot.
  • The last thing that you are most likely going to see happen in the world of beer is that it will become a more common drink to find in your extremely expensive restaurants in the world. Before wine has dominated that world with beer belonging in a dive bar. But this will be the year that you will see beer get its due that it should.

Drink safe and Happy New Year.
