The million dollar question today seems
to be; "What is Christian".
Better put, What does it mean to be
Christian, How do you be a Christian.
Depending on who your asking at
any given moment, where your at
while asking, and who all is present
at the time of the question; is going to
make a difference in the answer you
will get to this question.
Well; Here in my own oppinion is the
answer to that question.
Regardless of how you personaly
choose to become Christian; Baptism,
Prayer, the way you live your life, a
combination of all of the above, or
some other way. The plain simple
answer is that when you become
Christian, when you make the claim
or acknowlegment that you accept
Christ and are now a Christian;
Every thing you Say, Do, Think,
Feel wether in secret or in the
open, you are doing in the name of
Christ.
Contrary to what most will tell you;
getting saved is the easy part.
The entire purpose of Christ dying
2000 years ago was to save the world,
Yes that means every one.
He already paid the price, (He Died).
The ONLY thing you have to do (You
don't have to pray, you don't have
to get wet) All you have to do is either
accept or reject his Gift.
As with any gift, you accept it and it is
now yours, you receive the bennifits
of accepting it, If you reject it, as with
any rejected gift, you get nothing.
Now back to the main point of my
story.
Once you have accepted his gift, you
now have the right to claim
(I am Christian).
But with that right also comes some
huge responsibility.
As I said earlier; now that you have
taken the steps nesesary to make
that claim, Every thing you do, say, think,
Feel; is all done in Christs name.
What does that mean to do somthing in
his name, How do you do something in
his name.
The truth be told, when you accepted
his gift; you did not just take on his name.
You become a part of the body of Christ
(Literaly), You are part of his body as your
fingers, toes, ect are part of your body.
If I touch your finger, I touch you, If I hurt
your toe I hurt you, If I experience any
part of you, I experience you.
Same concept with one exception, Your
parts don't have free will, His parts do.
Now the point.
When you accepted Christs Gift, You
became Christ.
No; that is not a misprint, I did not mean
you became like Christ or Christ Like, I
meant; "You Became Christ".
You now represent Christ, When you
Speak, because you claimed his name
and gift, people hear Christ.
When you act because you claimed his
name and gift, people see Christ acting.
Whenever, However people experience
or interact with you; because you proudly
make the claim "I am Christian", Because
of that; they See, Hear, Experience, Interact
with Christ.
If you are in a car with your Christian friends
driving down the road and you dissobey the
traffic laws, and people see you (The Christian)
breaking the traffic laws, they see christ breaking
the traffic laws.
So; you say you are Christian or you want to be
Christian; then every thing you say, think, feel, or
do for the rest of your life, you better stop and think.
Is this something that if people see Christ doing it;
that it will make them think or feel favorably towards
Christ, Would people want to follow Christ if they
saw or experienced him doing this.
Because in all reality, they are seeing him when
they see you.
If you bully someone, People see Christ bullying
that person, If you swear, People hear Christ swear,
if you turn your back on those less fortunate than
you, people see Christ turn his back on the less
fortunate.
You are Christ, the way you live will either bring
him shame or glory.
Are you bringing him glory, or are you making
people hate him.
