What is Candida?

Candida is a type of yeast that lives in our body, normally in the digestive system and the mouth. We all have it naturally and when it is at normal levels the yeast is actually beneficial to us. Problems can occur when we develop too much candida in the body.

When we have a build- up of candida it is called Candidiasis and this can happen to anyone, men, women and children.

Our naturally balanced system can be knocked out of whack in a number of ways but Candidiasis is usually caused by a weakened immune system from things like stress, poor diet, illness, or antibiotics.

Symptoms of Candidiasis include: headaches and migraines, depression, sleep problems, anxiety attacks, asthma and allergies, eczema, rashes, psoriasis, recurring infections and autoimmune diseases.

Candidiasis can be controlled with anti- fungal medicine and a clean, healthy diet. A healthy diet of fresh foods, eliminating sugar, and adding probiotics will strengthen the immune system and relieve out breaks of Candidiasis.
