What happens when you are wrong?

Christianity has had many challenges in the past, and you can be certain that many more will follow during our final years here on earth. One of the most controversial subjects (after abortion) has got to be the issue of same sex marriage.

Like many other religious denominations, the catholic church is doing their part to voice the disapproval for members of the same sex tying the knot, all in the name of society sanctioning it through the legal avenue of marriage .

Most of us believe that equality between men and women, regardless of their gender or social background should be the same, yet by some sense of warped rationalization, politicians are agreeing with a section of our population that same sex marriage should be legal.

There is a reason why so many religious organizations are up in arms because of this issue, and it should be as clear as day. Just in case it is not, however, let me reiterate it for you, the Word of God, the same one you want to use to approve this lifestyle, says that it is wrong.

There is a reason why a man and a woman get married and it is because of their natural ability to “go forth and multiply”, but let us forget for a minute that two members of the same sex cannot naturally bear fruit, and turn to Lev 18:22 where it clearly states “Don’t have sex with a man as one does with a woman. That is abhorrent.”

The traditional relationship between a man and a woman was introduced to human beings when Eve was presented to Adam as a partner and companion, so regardless of what sort of opposition we face now, that is a fact that cannot be changed. We may be able to rationalize it to ourselves by trying to change His word, but we still can't make it right.
