It has been 10 years since Jennifer Wix and her 2-year-old daughter, Adrianna, were reported missing, with no sign of them in all that time. Jennifer's father last spoke to her on March 25, 2004, around 11 am, and she spoke of tension between her and her boyfriend, as well as his family. She and her baby were living with boyfriend, Joey Benton, on his family's property. As the last known person to see both, he claims he took them to a nearby grocery store, where Wix used the phone, and then he dropped them off at a gas station. He then states he watched as a white 4-door car pulled up and the mother and daughter got in. He does admit to seeing Wix the following day, when she came to get her things and told him she needed to be "away."
In most situations like this, one instantly assumes that the boyfriend killed her. However, Joey Benton denies any involvement in their disappearance and the Benton family property has been searched four times, including draining a pond. Nothing has ever been found, yet he has not been eliminated as a suspect. No one has.
In December 2013, the disappearance of Jennifer and Adrianna was reclassified from missing persons to homicide. What information prompted this is still unknown, but it is the most likely conclusion. It is possible that Jennifer took her daughter and joined some kind of underground, off the grid sort of thing, but it's pretty unlikely and her family refuses to believe that she would willingly be out of contact with them for 10 years.
There is a $27,000 reward for information leading to the conviction and arrest of the person responsible for the disappearance of Jennifer and Adrianna Wix. If you have information, please contact the Sheriff's Office in Robertson County, Tennessee, at 615-478-5763. Jennifer's mother, and the rest of her family, will never give up hope that, at the very least, they will be able to give them a proper burial. She hopes her daughter and granddaughter won't be forgotten. They deserve justice.
