“What Great Love the Father”(1 John 3:1)

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”(1 John 3:1)

Love can be used loosely with some people. There are different types or meanings of love. There is love between parents and children, husband and wife, and between friends. Love in all instances should be in word but mostly in action. Love can be measured by what a person does. His or behavior is evidence of their care or love for others.

God, the Father, has shown His love by sending His Son, Jesus. Jesus showed His love by dying for the whole world for the forgiveness of sins. Believers in God and Jesus receive this gift and also become God’s children. The Father is very active in the lives of His children. His actions of love are shown forth daily and reveal His great compassion.

Believer, Father God, has shown and continues to show His love in action. The Holy Spirit confirms that we are God’s children. Blessed Heavenly Father’s Day! Praise Him!
