As expected, Roxanne Cabanero, former beauty pageant contestant who filed a case of rape against Vhong Navarro, who was allegedly mauled by Cedric Lee and his men in Forbeswood Heights Condominium last Jan. 22, attended the preliminary investigation of the case Thursday, March 13, 2014.
Based on the ABS-CBN News' updated report, the former beauty contestant from Davao who was allegedly kicked out from the pageant because of a photo scandal, turned emotional when interviewed by the local entertainment media. Reports said upon her arrival, she immediately looked for Vhong, but unfortunately, the It's Showtime host was only represented by his legal counsel Atty. Alma Mallonga.
"Is he here? I'm expecting him today, but I'm not sure if he's here. I want to see him," Cabanero said while speaking with entertainment media. "He did something wrong to me. He raped me. I have a lot of hate inside right now and I'm very emotional, so I wanted to see that guy," Roxanne continued.
The former beauty pageant contestant became controversial when she came out and accused Vhong several weeks ago, according to her, Navarro sexually assaulted her on the evening of April 24, 2010. After reading her story, Vhong's followers searched his whereabouts on that evening and they found out that the actor was in Island Cove in Kawit, Cavite performing with Vice Ganda and Kean Cipriano.
Netizens criticized her for filing a complaint against Vhong, according to them, she is one of the allies of Cedric Lee. Roxanne immediately explained her side, she said the netizens should stop accusing her because her case is different compared to Cedric Lee and Deniece Cornejo.
