In light of the many events taking place in our Nation, around the world, and even in our homes, public/personal perception has been the focal point that fuels debate. Even Jesus asked this question of His disciples, “But who do you say that I am?” why? Because one’s personal perception is how you interpret and see people, places, or things. We must incorporate accurate knowledge and understanding to wisely interpret what we perceive. If correct knowledge with full understanding and discernment are not appropriately applied, errors in judgment will occur. Wrongful assumption can be made based upon a distorted perception which may be predicated upon an appeal to our blindness caused by a lack of understanding, racial bias, hate or a number of personal idiosyncrasies rather than truth and reason. We are instructed by the Word of God to ” Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon”. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. (Isaiah 55:6-8)
In order to get in line with seeing through the eyes of God……
Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.
