What do Adam Lambert fans throw on stage? Sex toys!

Obviously, bras and panties would not be enough for fans of Adam Lambert to prove how much they love him, since they would want to be as original and excentric as he is. So, they throw sex toys.

In an interview with E! Online, Adam Lambert speaks of his fans' newest gestures of idolatry during concerts of the American Idol 2009 Summer Tour, saying "It's going further, and somebody threw onstage a red-leather tasseled whip," adding, "Yeah, and then the next night, I got one that was made out of, like, purple fur. It's getting really S&M."

Is that really too shocking? Lambert has a reputation for being bold and dark, shocking sometimes. Why should his fans not share those interests, and perhaps go even further, right? Who knows, maybe he even appreciates the presents?

In the interview, Adam Lambert says, "It's interesting," adding, "I got some glow-in-the-dark handcuffs. It's really getting creative. It's exciting. I think they really want me to play with these toys during the number."

After all, it's not like the American Idol runner up has been secretive about his sexuality. That is, after he officially came out as gay in a Rolling Stone interview. But fans wanting him to use the toys on stage does not mean he actually will, does it? Lambert says, "I always try to because I enjoy that," adding, "But then somebody threw a bra on during "Starlight," and, literally, it missed my face by three inches. Yeah, I am going to be a little bit more passive-aggressive, so I decided not to even acknowledge the bra that got thrown on stage, because I didn't want to condone the behavior."

Hey, at least they are not throwing bowling balls, right? "I'm glad it was a soft material and wasn't anything hard. I'm not really into S&M, but it's definitely tempting," Adam Lambert says.

And if that does not tempt his fans to keep doing what they are doing, what would?

In a July 17th article on E! Online in which the American Idol contestants answer questions from fans, Allison Iraheta commented on the time a bra landed on stage while she sang a duet with Adam Lambert in Vancouver. She said, "Adam and I were singing "Slow Ride," and all of a sudden a bigass pink bra is thrown on the stage, and I picked it up with my foot and threw it to him and we had fun." And Adam Lambert added, "That was my favorite moment on tour so far. It cracked me up. And then wadded-up panties came onstage, and it looked a bit funky. I picked up the bra and flung it back out in the audience. But the panty, I just slid it around the stage with my foot. I didn't want to touch it."

Evidently, fans have gotten more creative in the weeks after those comments, and now panties and bras seem boring  next to the sex toys Adam Lambert is getting on stage. Maybe one of those beat the bra as his favorite so far?
