Last week Obama was too busy to meet with Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu. He was scheduled to be on Letterman that night. He kept that date.
When our embassies were attacked and an American ambassador murdered, among others, Obama was scheduled to campaign in Las Vegas. He made Vegas.
But Obama misses most of his national security briefings. He's too busy campaigning. Even so, he might have guessed there'd be trouble on 9/11. It's the Muslim world's big anniversary, and must hold special sentiment for them before this crucial election.
Just these bare bones of facts are enough to suggest that for some reason Obama has been neglecting his job at a time of crisis, that time being every day.
But the timing here is especially critical and begs the question: Did Netanyahu have something particular to discuss with Obama, did he have some special security intelligence, perhaps? Israel is on constant alert and has a finely tuned intelligence system. Maybe Netanyahu had some crucial information to share.
