Values are about what’s important to us. Those values become very clear to your children whether you tell them or not. They see it in what you do or say. They see it when you’re face lights up when you are talking about something that you want to buy and what’s important to you.
I would say that your children would rather have the time with you more than any material thing! Ask yourself, “If someone would follow me around for one typical week and watched all that I do, what would they learn about me?” What would you learn about yourself? It’s important to hear the answer!
