In February, the best movies of the year will be celebrated. However, what about the worst? From movies reviewed this year at the Hartford Movie Reviews Examiner, two movies come to mind as two of the most awful movies 2012 had to offer.
Starring Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, "The Five Year Engagement" depicts what happens after Tom (Segal) proposes to Violet (Blunt). Except for Alison Brie as Violet's sister and Chris Pratt as Tom's best friend, no one in this movie come across as likable. The plot itself is never ending and Segel and Blunt share almost no chemistry together. In fact, their relationship in the movie is so unpleasant that audiences may find themselves actively routing for the two not to make it to the altar in the end.
"Hyde Park on Hudson manages to take an interesting story, that of the first visit of a British monarch to the United States, and completely twist it to a long, drawn out, ridiculous mess of a movie.
Other critics list movies such as "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter", "Twilight Saga; Breaking Dawn - Part 2", and "The Devil Inside" on their worst of 2012 lists. What about you Harford? What's on your list of the worst movies of 2012?
