After serving in the Iraq war, veteran, Mike Prysner returned and began speaking out about the real enemy he had found, one reflected in the illegal and immoral occupation and war.
Prysner joined Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW). In a powerful speech (see embedded video below), he stated:
"Our real enemy is not the ones living in a distant land whose names or policies we don't understand.
"The real enemy is a system that wages war when it's profitable, the CEOs who lay us off our jobs when it's profitable, the Insurance Companies who deny us Health care when it's profitable, the Banks who take away our homes when it's profitable.
"Our enemies are not several hundred thousands away. They are right here in front of us."
Prysner's presentation entitled Amazing Speech by War Veteran is part of the IVAW documentary, Winter Soldier II.
Frank Dorrel of Addicted to War headquartered in Los Angeles commented about Prysner's speech, "This one of the best I've heard, and the imagery in the video is very moving, as well. His every word rings so true."
With chapters in the U.S. and Canada, IVAW members educate the public about realities of the Iraq war by speaking in communities and to the media about their experiences.
Members dialogue with youth in classrooms about military service realities and they support war resisters, including Conscientious Objectors and others, who face military prosecution for courage to resist.
IVAW advocates full funding for Veterans Administration, and full quality health treatment (including mental health) and benefits for veterans when they return.

It has become the rule of men, rather than the rule of law. Any one that goes against "them," any of "us" that goes against them, we will find ourselves bound. Us vs Them! It is no longer a nation under God...at least Jesus Christ. They serve the god of this world...satan. They (them) are all "following the followers" (the blind leading the blind). They are not following Jesus Christ and His principles and will cause all to fall in the ditch.

I can imagine what Mr. Prysner must have gone through experiencing the horrors of war, but let’s be careful so as not to lump everything or all people together indiscriminately. In spite the fact that there are some shoddy deals going on in high places, we can’t simply close down our vital institutions or condemn everybody that works in them. Instead, let’s advocate for a formidable watchdog that could flush out the bad eggs in every corner of the society. As for me, religion is the only thing I know that is of no use to the world except to lead the world to self-destruction. So, let’s talk about eradicating religion—the root cause of war and hatred.
Having served in viet nam as a private in the airbourne infantry and having witnessed over 100 members of my company killed and having come back to the states to study the real issue of viet nam and having read dozens of books which documented beyond doubt..beyond all doubt that it was a CIA war to control heroin..nothing more nothing less..I salute this brave american hero for having the guts to stand before this nation and tell the truth
