This American actor is best-known as the star of FOX's 2002 television series Fastlane, plus Twilight and its sagas.

Carlisle Cullen is played by Peter Facinelli who studied acting at the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School in New York City.  His teachers there included William H. Macy, Felicity Huffman, Giancarlo Esposito, and Camryn Manheim.

Facinelli starred in Hollow Man 2 with Christian Slater. It was released direct-to-video in May 2006. He was also in films such as Riding in Cars with Boys, The Scorpion King, and Can't Hardly Wait. In 2004 and 2005, he was a recurring guest on the hit HBO show Six Feet Under. He also appears on the FX original series Damages.

On an everyday basis, I'm just pretty casual. I like to get dressed up for a party, but I never want to be a suit guy. Suits are too stuffy for me."

In addition to portraying Carlisle Cullen in the movie Twilight, based on the book by Stephenie Meyer, he also costars as Dr. Fitch Cooper in the Showtime dark comedy series Nurse Jackie.  Facinelli will reprise his role as Dr. Carlisle Cullen in 2009's sequel to Twilight, New Moon, and in 2010's Eclipse.
