Here’s a suggestion. How about starting to write your novel this month? There’s never been a better time. After all – it’s National Novel Writing Month.
The national organization provides suggestions, encouragement, events and the like in hope that you will write a rough draft of your novel within November 2014. Their multifaceted forums could prove quite helpful.
Not possible you say. Sure it is. The hardest step is getting started. Start with “once upon a time” and you are on your way.
Remember that you don’t have to finish your novel within this month. Just get a good start. After all, like all good Roman sayings including “Rome wasn’t built in a day” – neither are many good novels written in a month. Nor are they necessarily always written in November or even started in November.
Since there are only two months left in 2014, if your New Year’s resolution this year was to start your novel, time is of the essence.
You have the month. Get started today. You have no more excuses.
What a novel idea!
