WGA nominates 6 games for best writing award

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) nominated 6 video games for its 2013 outstanding achievement in writing awards, on Jan. 16, 2013. This was written in an article by Laura Parker for Gamespot, which is at the bottom of the article as well in case you don't want to read the rest.

The nominees are “007 Legends” (Activision), “Unchained: Golden Abyss” (Sony Computer Entertainment America), “Assassin’s Creed III” (Ubisoft), “Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation” (Ubisoft), “Halo 4” (Microsoft Studios), and “Disney Epic Mickey: The Power of Two” (Disney Interactive Studios).

This is the sixth year in a row where the video-game writing award has been presented by the WGA. It honors the best script of a video game from the prior year, much like the Oscars and the Golden Globes. The WGA is a union that represents writers from various fields like movies, music, television, broadcast news, and digital media.

The winners will be announced on Sunday, February 17, 2013, in Los Angeles and New York at the 2013 Writers Guild Awards.
