WFGX-TV to televise meeting about gun control; regular TV programs to be delayed

WFGX-TV was set to broadcast live programming of a public meeting about gun control organized by WEAR-TV that was scheduled to take place on the campus of Pensacola State College in Pensacola, Florida (southeast of Mobile) on Wednesday, March 6th, between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. (WEAR-TV and WFGX-TV were owned and operated by the same company, the Sinclair Broadcast Group). WFGX-TV made time in their programming schedule for the meeting by rescheduling some of their regular Wednesday night programs for broadcast later.

Here is a list of the programs WFGX-TV would delay due to their plan to broadcast the meeting and how they were rescheduled, according to the TV programming guide from Zap2it:

  • Two episodes of "NUMB3RS", a dramatic TV program, rescheduled from 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. (respectively) on March 6th to 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m..
  • A single edition of "Maury", a syndicated discussion program, rescheduled from 9:00 pm. on March 6th to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7th.
