A cool, wet weather pattern will linger over New Jersey through tomorrow with temperatures below normal before a warm, humid air mass invades on Friday. While plenty of showers and thunderstorms will linger over the state through Friday, the weather this weekend will be excellent!

Overcast skies with periods of showers and thunderstorms can be expected through tomorrow as disturbances move along a stationary front over southern New Jersey. The showers and thunderstorms will be capable of very heavy downpours, wind gusts over 30 mph, and visibility below 2 miles at times. Localized flash and urban flooding is a threat. Winds will be from the east and southeast at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 70's for highs this afternoon. Temperatures tomorrow will range from the lower to mid 60's for lows and mid to upper 70's for highs.

On Friday, an area of low pressure will lift northeastward towards New England with a warm front in the morning and a cold front to follow in the evening. Showers and thunderstorms can be expected through the day with the strongest thunderstorms capable of very heavy downpours, frequent lightning, hail, wind gusts over 40 mph, and visibility below 2 miles. Winds will veer to the southwest at 5 to 15 mph with higher gusts. Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60's for lows and lower to mid 80's for highs.

High pressure will be in control by Saturday morning with clearing skies. Clear skies can be expected on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Winds will be from the west and northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will range from the lower to mid 60's for lows and lower to mid 80's for highs.

A series of cold fronts will attempt to move through New Jersey on Monday and Tuesday with a muggy, warm air mass in place and scattered showers and thunderstorms. The strong to severe thunderstorms will be capable of wind gusts over 40 mph, frequent lightning, very heavy downpours, hail, and visibility below 2 miles. Winds will be from the south and southwest at 10 to 20 mph. Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 60's for lows and mid to upper 80's for highs.
