Wet and Wild in South Beach this Weekend

If you’re thinking about heading to South Beach this weekend for a great time, you may want to pack an umbrella! Rain is looking very likely throughout Saturday, with totals possibly reaching an inch. Also expect rainy conditions on Sunday with windy conditions both days (20-30 mph winds). Temperatures will only be reaching the low 80’s on both Saturday and Sunday, with low temperatures in the mid-70s.

Extreme rip currents are going to present this weekend so swimming is not recommended. Actually it is recommended NOT to go swimming. Instead you better find a good bar or club and take in some football; the Clevelander Sports Bar or the Playwright at 13th and Washington until it’s time to go out to the club. If you want a quieter bar with the local game try The Blue Moon Hotel at 944 Collins.

If you do find yourself heading to the beach this weekend, remember sunscreen! The sun can still burn through the clouds. Though, if you’re looking for a nice tan, this may not be the best weekend for you to hit the sand. Overall, it looks like a below-average beach weekend in terms of the weather, though it will be as much fun as you make it! Ask the bartender or a local what to get into. Enjoy the weekend, everyone!
