The class, Dance 164 (World Dance), section 5330 meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 4:25 p.m. and is taught by Karin Jensen at El Camino College. The first class is today, 26 August 2014, and the class runs for 15 weeks with a final week. Last day of class is 9 December 2014.
The last day to add this class is Friday, 5 September 2014.
The subject matter varies from semester to semester, but the class is taught by Karin Lynge Jensen is the artistic director of the tribal fusion belly dance company Mandala Dance Works, a belly dance company that regularly performs around town and has been invited to perform at prestigious belly dance events in California and Nevada, including Tribal Massive, Tribal Fest, Carnival NOir!, GothLA, Around The World in 80 Days, Belly Dancer of the Universe Competition, Cairo Caravan, Leela's Arabia Exotica, Las Vegas Bellydance Intensive Festival, RAQS LA.
Many of the members of the group began as students in her El Camino College classes.
To enroll, you need to apply to be a student at El Camino College, register and pay fees. You can buy either a semester parking permit ($35) or pay for parking daily ($3).
