Westport Wellness and Eat for a Better Life offer childhood and teen obesity programs

This is a series of articles that will focus on childhood and teen obesity programs.  As the First Lady makes this her mission the founders of Westport Wellness and Eat for a Better Life are making it their priority as well.

Business owners  Rebecca Hayward and Maria Tormos have teamed up to offer a series of workshops and support groups for families in Westport, Norwalk, Fairfield, Wilton, Bridgeport, Stamford, and surrounding areas to educate families and children about healthy eating and cooking.

Both Ms. Hayward, and Ms Tormos speak Spanish and bilingual support and programs will be available.

As working moms with  young children aged 5-12 Hayward-Tormos understand many issues regarding kids and their eating habits; the difficulties parents face cooking for their families after a long hard day at work; finding time to sit down and eat as a family with busy schedules and more.

They incorporate these concepts and more into their workshops and offer healthy cooking tips and time management tools to help.

The next group will be begin in April. For further information contact
