Westminster Dog Show 2013 schedule: TV time and channel to follow results (Video)

The Westminster Dog Show 2013 schedule has arrived, with TV viewers able to watch as all of the dog breeds are shown off for their chance to win this year's top prize: best in breed. The dog show will be televised on the USA network on Tuesday evening, allowing viewers to track the results.

According to a Huffington Post article on Feb. 12, Tuesday's winners will include the top dogs in the working, sporting and terriers categories. Already among the winners so far at the show were an affenpinscher named Banana Joe who won best of breed for a third year straight, as well as the prize for best in the toy group. An American foxhound named Jewel took the prize for top hound, while a bichon frise named Honor won best of the non-sporting group.

That leaves more dog show winners and results for Tuesday night, with coverage shown of the judging and big announcements on television. This year's contest has a total of 2,721 entries, with some reportedly stranded by the Northeast's recent crippling blizzard. There are 187 different breeds and varieties of dogs in this 137th edition of the competition overall, offering something unique for canine lovers around the world to watch.

The Westminster Dog Show 2013 edition will have coverage on USA starting at 8 p.m. EST on Roanoke's Cox Cable channel 28 or USA HD on channel 1028. DISH Network satellite TV viewers can watch on channel 105 for USA, while those with DirecTV can see it on channel 242.
