Westminster dog death: Owner says dog was poisoned

Everyone always loves to watch the Westminster Dog Show on television. On Feb. 28, ABC News reported that a dog from the show has passed away and the owner is blaming it on someone poisoning his dog. The dog, named Cruz, died only days after the show was over.

She thinks that someone killed the dog by poisoning it during the show. It is very intense at dog shows and everyone wants to win. The dog was only three and still had a lot of time left in him for the dog show. He was a Samoyed.

A vet said that the dog could have ate rat poison. They do not know who killed the dog, but they are saying it could have been an animal right activist that was not happy about the dog being in the show. People also wonder if it was someone that wanted to have the chance to beat his dog in the future.

Cruz did not win at Westminster, but did do a great job competing. This is a sad story and at this time they still don't know what caused the death of this Westminster dog.
