Western Americana auctions hold strong

The shakier things get economically, the higher the demand for steady, solid performers in the world of US collectibles. There may be no more tried and true than Western Americana.

Although we may tend to think in this vein of saddles, Remmington prints and Firearms, the truth is, in it's own right it was a wide and diverse conglommeration of history. While much is different, many things loved then, are still loved now such as a fresh cup of hot coffee.

Oh, sure the work to make it was more difficult back then, but maybe that's in part how we came by the affection for our pet likes and traditions.

All said and done, it's no wonder how the cast iron beauty grinding wheel featured in the picture here has stayed a prize among collectors.

You can bid on or see the price of this coffee mill here, and over 500 other Western Americana antiques at: the 4th annual Deadwood Western Americana auction.
