They will be performing a one-hour set beginning at about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, at Le Corusse Rouge restaurant on White Lane in Bakersfield. The establishment is the home for the BJW's weekly workshop, which is held every Wednesday, is free with no cover charge or minimum, and open to all ages.

For those unfamiliar with the BJW, it is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation whose mission is to support jazz education, performance, and to provide the public an opportunity to enjoy jazz in the Bakersfield area. The organization depends upon tax deductible donations from the public to support its activities, which include free jazz instruction and several free clinics and concerts throughout the year presented by notable jazz artists from across the country.

The Westchester Saxophone Quartet will be preceded at 6:30 p.m. by the BJW's Beginning Jazz Improv class and followed by an open jazz jam session until about 10 p.m. Local jazz musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments and join in.
