The Westboro Baptist Church has responded to a recent cease and desist order delivered by the hactivist group Anonymous. Tuesday, Anonymous, a notorious collective of unnamed Internet activists, put the Westboro Baptist Church on notice by issuing an ultimatum to Fred Phelps' Westboro Baptist Church, threatening the group's online security.
The Topeka, Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church responded this weekend with an "Open Letter from Westboro Baptist Servants of God to Anonymous Coward Crybaby Hackers". The letter does not shy away from antagonizing the powerful and ominous group, declaring "Bring It!"
However, the Westboro baptist Church may regret their bravado. The hacker group Anonymous is a formidable foe. The collective has successfully disabled sites associated with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak as well as sites like Visa in the name of Wikleaks founder Julian Assange, the Church of Scientology, and most recently, the international Internet security firm HBGary Federal.
This is not the first time the church has taken an antagonizing position towards its critics. Indeed, one could say the church has made its mission to antagonize, harass, and malign others. The Westboro Baptist Church is notorious for its "God Hates Fags" signs and the picketing of soldier's funerals. They have made a name for themselves preaching a homophobic, hate filled gospel so obnoxious most Christians reject their teaching.
The ball is now in the court of Anonymous. Let the games begin. Bring it!

The problem is this church is "in the field" and not subject to much damage from hackers unless they mess with bank accounts, bills, and tax records, etc.
We need a dedicated group who who will shadow them wherever they travel. They have to sleep sometime. We should make sure they never get any rest at any time.
