The Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) protested at University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) today. Many people counter protested WBC. They were most likely protesting education and general sin; however, their message was not clear.
Now we must go to your seat of higher learning, where you have endowed a chair to Mock God! You offer courses in Rebellion Against God, 101, 201, 301, 401 and you offer advanced degrees in Proud Sin and Perversion. After you send those spawn of Satan out into the cities, God sends death and plagues and other weapons that he has pulled from his armory!
Doomed america is the people against whom God has indignation for ever!
So, to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, we say - We're Back! We stood outside that University on March 10, 2001. You did not hear or heed our warning, NOW look at you!Destruction is all around you, and you can keep up the glitter, but your full, final and complete destruction is imminent.If there is any little soul that hears our words and would flee the wrath to come, now is the time!
The “a” in America is lowercase yet the “p” in perversion, among other words, is uppercase. They surely appear to be more interested in riling people up rather than getting a message across.
One thing that WBC is known for is uniting everyone else against them. There were several different student and local groups, such as Las Vegas Atheists, who attended. This event helped the UNLV Student Secular Alliance (SSA) raised over $500 for the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF). Donate to MRFF here.
While the WBC protest had four people, the counter protest had at least 100. Many people driving by honked and shouted in support of the counter protest against WBC.
