West Michigan snow storm update (Photos)

The snow has begun across much of West Michigan as a strong storm moves across the southern Great Lakes.

With the forecast snow the Grand Rapids National Weather Service continues the Winter Storm Warning for counties north of I-94 from Noon on Thursday until Noon on Friday. For these counties 6-12 inches of snow is possible

For the counties along I-94 there is a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from Noon on Thursday until Noon on Friday. In this region 3-5 inches is possible. The snow may mix with some sleet or freezing rain along I-94 Thursday afternoon.

The majority of the snow should end on Friday morning. Travel may become difficult for Thursday night and Friday.

Drier weather moves in for Saturday and temperatures may even climb into the upper 30s by Sunday and Monday.
