West High School's Viking Regiment Music Program, under the direction of Mickey Murray, is fundraising for their students in the program this Saturday January 26. The Fundraiser will feature two special recycling events and a rummage sale. All proceeds to go to the Music Program to help defray the costs of instruments, uniforms, and transportation.
West High School is at 1200 Stine Road in Bakersfield. The rummage sale starts at 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and the Recycle Events will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Recycling materials accepted:
- E-waste: all televisions regardless of size or quantity, monitors, computers, printers and other electronic devices, car and rechargeable batteries and large appliances
- Paper waste: personal documents, no bound material like books
The recycling portion of the events are in partnership with Alianza Recycling and Recovery LLC for the electronic waste, and MetroRecord for the paper waste.
