The tournament is open to bowlers who are 50 years and older.
It will mark the 14th of 16 tournaments this season for the WCST and is the second time this year that bowlers will compete in La Habra.
Don Blatchford of Santa Monica won the event at La Habra in February – his first of two victories this year.
Blatchford was named the tour’s 2012 bowler of the year in the Super Senior division for winning five WCST titles last year. Blatchford tied for fifth earlier this month in a WCST tournament at Diamond Bar, Calif. He also bowled a perfect game in the event.
Mike Rausch of San Juan Capistrano won the Diamond Bar event in high-scoring fashion and pocketed $700. He was the top qualifier with a 233.13 average for eight games and then won his two matches in the championship round.
Rausch defeated Pat Kinard of Signal Hill in the championship match, 248-227. Kinard, the second-highest qualifier, earned $500 for his second-place finish.
Rausch also eliminated Pat Byrne of Simi Valley in the championship round by a score of 279-247. Byrne and Jerry Calvin of Thousand Oaks tied for fourth place and each picked up $350.
