The West Carrollton Farmer’s Market is open for the 2014 season! The market, located on a lot less than ½ mile from I-75 (next to a Taco Bell and across from El Meson) will continue through Oct. 21, 2014.
Eighteen vendors will participate in this, the second season of the Tuesday afternoon market. The West Carrollton’s Farmers Market is open from 3-6:30 every Tuesday, and the first Tuesday of every month will be a Food Truck Rally day.
Participating vendors include such favorites as Blairquist Specialty Meats, Karolyn’s Garden, Downing Fruit Farm, Spring Valley Farm and Tom’s Garden, and this year the market welcomes 2 Cups of Coffee & Bakery, Anderson Brick Oven, Covered Wagon Farm Market, Craig’s Pesto Hot Dogs, El Meson Xpress Food Truck, Flour Power Wood Fired Pizza, Gypsy Chick Farm, Huffman’s Maple Syrup, Hunger Paynes Food Truck, Keiko’s Kettle Corn, McNasty’s Food Express, Rib-N-It Bar-B-Q, and Rice Family Harvest.
Tuesday’s market included beautiful potted herbs, gorgeous spring strawberries, assorted jams, jellies, baked goods, salsas and even free samples: freshly grilled pork from Blairquist Specialty Meats, salsa samplings from Tom’s Garden, and delicious samples of bread from Anderson Brick Oven (very much needed after sampling Tom’s spicy salsas!). Free re-usable shopping bags were handed out and a festive atmosphere prevailed!
Don’t miss the next West Carrollton Farmer’s Market on Tuesday, June 10 – in the meantime, check out the slideshow for photos from last Tuesday’s market.
