West 20 Ranch and Saddle Company will start the 2012 winter equestrian season with an open horse show on Saturday, January 28th.
Winter horse show classes at West 20 for youth and adults include:
- English Equitation
- English Halter
- English Pleasure
- Showmanship
- Walk Trot Horsemanship
- Walk Trot Pleasure
- Western Halter
- Western Horsemanship
- Western Pleasure
- and more.
Class sponsorships are available.
Proper horse show apparel is optional for the Beat the Heat Winter Show Series, although all classes will be held in an indoor arena at West 20 Ranch and Saddle Company. Weather-appropriate clothing and gear are recommended for all participants.
On-site horse stalls may be available by advance reservation. A current negative Coggins test result will be required for each equine participant. (West 20 will accept 2011 Coggins tests for through the March show.)
The 2012 Beat the Heat Winter Show Series at West 20 Ranch and Saddle Company includes these horse show dates:
- Saturday, January 28th (Sheri Light – horse show judge)
- Saturday, February 25th (Lynne Levy – horse show judge)
- Saturday, March 24th (Stefanie Adams – horse show judge)
Each show will start at 10 a.m. CST sharp.
All three dates are now Wisconsin State Horse Council (WSHC) approved shows. Point totals may be added towards APHA, AQHA, OEIP, PAC and other year-end totals.
Series high point awards will be offered, based on participants attending at least two of the horse shows in the winter series.
West 20 Ranch and Saddle Company is located in East Troy, Wisconsin, about 50 miles southeast of Madison. A full-service saddle and tack shop is available on-site.
