Wes Bentley discusses Seneca Crane's beard, 'The Hunger Games' movie & more

Actor Wes Bentley says his character's iconic beard "did half the work" for him, when playing Seneca Crane in The Hunger Games movie.

In a new interview with MTV, Bentley says he never imagined the imaginative facial hair would spawn such fan fervor -- including memes on Tumblr and a dedicated Facebook page.

"It's such a cool look. Ve Neill, the makeup designer, did such an amazing job. It's exciting that it's getting that kind of attention," Bently said. "I would have loved to have kept the beard but that beard took two hours to groom every day. I don't want to spend that much time in the bathroom."

Besides talking about the iconic beard, Bentley also talked to MTV about The Hunger Games books (he's a fan!) and the movie itself, keeping secrets ahead of the movie's release, and more.
