Wendy Williams cries on camera, says her teen on doesn’t like her

Wendy Williams got emotional on the set of her daytime talk show, and it turned out to be a family matter. On Jan. 21, Us Weekly posted video of the mini-meltdown, in which the 49-year old talk show host confessed that she’s not close with her 13-year-old son, Kevin.

Comparing her relationship with her teen son to Madonna’s relationship with her son, Rocco Ritchie, Williams said, "First of all, I want you to know, Rocco is 13 years old and Rocco is a real fan of his mother. What I discovered this weekend is that my son doesn't like me anymore.”

"I discovered this a while ago, but the ball just got smacked home this weekend," she continued as she burst into tears. "He's all into his father -- you know how 13-year-olds are. I was the same way when I was 13, but it is breaking my heart. At this time, I can't understand men who disappear from their kids' lives. Thank God [Kevin] has his buddy, and father."

Of her husband Kevin Hunter’s relationship with their son, she said, “He’s a father, he’s a buddy, they talk sneakers, they go for haircuts, they speed off in the cars and I’m just left there feeling like, ‘Why you so [mad]? I’m not [mad], I’m a mom!”

Of course, Williams could have some unresolved resentment towards her husband. In 2013, she revealed that Hunter cheated on her just months after she gave birth to her son. According to Essence, Williams told VLAD TV: "If you told me when I was 25 years old or 30 years old that I would stay around for a cheater, I would have been like you are lying. I’ve got way too much to offer a man to stick around for him cheating on me … But I did and I don't regret it."
