National banking firm Wells Fargo has announced plans to host a panel discussion on January 28 covering Bitcoin and related trends during a one-day conference titled, "Virtual Currency: Viability, Compliance and Direction."

The day-long conference will cover a broad spectrum of topics within the emerging field of virtual currency, including market trends, investment opportunities, compliance, rick management, policy frameworks, and interaction with traditional fiat currencies.

The moderator for the event is Jim Richards, EVP, BSA Officer and Director of Financial Crimes Risk Management for Wells Fargo Bank. Presenters include Margo Tank from Buckley Sandler, Albert Wenger from Union Square Ventures, Seetha Ramachandran from the U.S. Department of Justice, and Fred Ehrsam, a co-founder of Coinbase, which enables clients to transfer funds from dollars to Bitcoin.
