Pain often comes from being disconnected, says Alisha Lalji, owner and co-founder of EM Luxury Spa in Vancouver.
If there's one thing that Alisha has learned from her years of treating people it's that “when there’s something going on with the body, there’s something going on with the mind.”
What are some of the root causes of today's physical ailments? Alisha lists these common bad habits:
- Being plugged into a computer too much.
- Consuming too many food toxins.
- Not listening to your body.
- Being too busy to listen to your soul.
These issues affect the majority of Alisha's clients, from Hollywood celebrities to overtaxed Vancouver entrepreneurs.
To determine just what’s going on with a client, Alisha often turns to Alchemy Hypnotherapy.
Healing the body through the mind
Alisha uses hypnotherapy to discover what is really causing a client pain or making them age.
She does this by hypnotizing them in five to 10 minutes so that she can access the subconscious, which she says makes up “90% of the brain.”
Clients are aware of their surroundings the entire time. Alisha says “they feel deeply relaxed and don’t want to move.”
Using her understanding of how to navigate the subconscious, which Alisha says communicates in images and metaphors, she helps clients to identify and release emotional blocks. As emotions surface, people "sometimes cry or laugh,” Alisha says.
Once the emotions have been released, Alisha says that clients often become free of the physical ailment that drove them to seek treatment. “The pain is released,” she says. “Sometimes, it’s in as little as one or two sessions.”
The all-natural way to look younger
An extremely popular treatment that Alisha offers is the hypnotherapy facial.
What makes it so effective, Alisha says, is that it actually makes changes at a cellular level. This facial:
- clears up severe acne
- reduces and eliminates fine and deep lines
- doesn’t utilize any chemicals or require any surgery
Want great health? Be yourself
A pioneer in the hypnotherapy field, Alisha says that she is a big believer “of going into and finding who you really are.”
It’s amazing how stressful it can be, and how much pain and aging take place, when you’re just not yourself.
Fortunately, finding and being yourself is “something we’re all naturally able to do,” Alisha says.
Have no time to get to the spa? The spa can come to you
If you can’t make it in to the spa, or afford the mobile price of having Alisha come to you with more than $20,000 worth of equipment (she has conducted treatments for the unnamed elite in hotels, private jets, movie sets, yachts and backstage at concerts), then Alisha recommends these do-it-yourself ways to connect your body and mind.
- Eat root veggies which help ground you and connect you to the earth
- Run barefoot and have physical contact with the earth (for more grounding)
- Meditate for 10-15 minutes every day
Think sitting still for 10 minutes is a long time?
It may just be the best investment that you ever make, as “the body heals itself when you are in a meditative place,” Alisha says.
Who knows? You may even lose a wrinkle or two or come up with that next big business idea.
