Welfare Cheats and Takers

GRRRR. This column hates greedy takers. Folks who loll around, mooching government money and benefits, never seeming to work.

Not individuals and families needing public assistance. Such humane public policies are the heart of our people and government. It's crucial to provide for citizens who are vulnerable and less fortunate. It's also the best way to nurture compassion and raise a capable country.

No, the reference is directed toward the United States Congress. They get high salaries, health coverage that makes Obamacare look like a bandage and an aspirin, plus easily obtained pensions. That bears elucidating and repeating. If someone has served, and the term is used in the loosest of all definitions, in the national legislative body, he or she still can receive a full pension after only five years.

What other job on the planet, besides third world dictator, offers that?

Sometimes the taxpayers luck out when the voters realizes the horrible mistake they made for two years. Right Joe Walsh? And again, not the singer from the Eagles.

(Note, Tammy Duckworth is finally receiving benefits all veterans, especially those wounded deserve. But she had to be elected to Congress for this to occur.)

(Joe Walsh, a an advocate for fiscal conservative policies was so thrifty he had to be sued to pay back child support. Classy.)

Most state representatives only serve part-time so they are partial moochers.

The true Welfare Queens, from Wal-Mart to Exxon to Wall Street, have been dissected by the few reporters left in this nation.

The shrinking safety net has largely been ignored by the mainstream media. And the important impact of Occupy was diminished from the onset. By the way, once folks started cramming into parks the Congress finally lifted its collective bum off the topic of debt ceiling and whether or not to raise it, to examining the small return from the very wealthy.

Some idiot, excuse this column, state legislator from some state, wants to prevent folks on public assistance from playing the lottery.

Okay, right after criminals who have torpedoed this economy are stripped of their bonuses and sent to jail.

Deal?

Congressional reform. Bad poll numbers- such as not as popular as head lice- salary decrease.

Take up the same measure dozens of times to see it fail, repeatedly, pay is docked 50%.

Can’t pass a budget without cliffs and whatnot, no one gets a paycheck.

Oh, if Paul Ryan says makers not takers one more time, let’s send him to Gitmo. He has been warned.

Most important of all: Congress- salaries comparable to their skill level and the Jamestown rule. No work means no food. Let's end welfare for them.
